Are Americans Buying Biden’s Paying One’s ‘Fair Share’ Message?

Commentary

Surely, you’ve heard President Biden repeatedly talk about the wealthy needing to pay “their fair share,” while ridiculously stating that “no billionaire should pay a lower tax rate than a school teacher or firefighter.”

It’s all about scoring political points, because soaking the rich always goes over big with lower income individuals. … read more

Busted! State Department Caught Using Taxpayer Funds to Support Soros Foundation

Commentary

In establishment Washington, a Biden administration gift of $12 million in taxpayer funds to a nonprofit organization doesn’t even make the news. If it wasn’t for my membership in Judicial Watch, I wouldn’t have heard about it.

Is it any wonder in this era when Congress passes billion-dollar bills without knowledge of what they are approving as we foresee a $1.4 trillion deficit this year? … read more

Biden Seeks Expansion of Big Government in Forgettable State of the Union Address

Commentary

As a political news wonk, I look forward to each State of the Union address in search of a memorable line or two that Americans can hang their hat on.

‘Just Whistling in the Wind’

Commentary

Sure, you’ve heard that phrase before.  So have I.

While researching its origins, I found this appropriate meaning for its usage:

“If you describe someone as whistling in the wind, you mean they are trying unsuccessfully to change something which cannot be changed.”

When I saw the Washington Examiner headline – “It’s Official: Trump’s tax cuts paid for themselves” – I was reminded of the Democrats who got hysterical over the cuts, and I thought ‘who better to recognize as my February 1, “Fool(s) of the Month” in memory of their hysterics in 2017?’… read more

Biden’s Mishandling of Classified Documents Inadvertently Puts his Attorney General in a Box

Commentary

The current brouhaha over Attorney General Merrick Garland’s decision not to involve the FBI in the search of classified documents in the possession of President Biden at various locations is but the latest among a long list of criticism of the DOJ’s role by the opposition party no matter who’s the AG.… read more

Where’s the Outrage?

Commentary

Every day, as I observe what’s going on in our country, my outrage builds.

Illegal migration is a major contributor and I continue to wonder why there is no massive outrage among Americans over the neglect at our southern border, where the Biden administration is permitting illegal human and drug trafficking, all while declaring the border is closed.… read more

No Man or Woman of the Year, No Year 2022 in Review

Commentary

Selecting a man or woman of the year and reviewing the year just passed is old hat and I don’t intend to waste space here with it.  I just have a few items I found both interesting and humorous that I want to share with you.

Those Trump Tax Returns

Since former President Trump refused to release his tax returns, the left has continued an effort to gain access to them, seeking an opportunity to embarrass him. … read more
