Fear survey ominous for Hillary

“Corrupt government officials” is the number one fear of Americans surveyed in Chapman University’s latest fears survey*, with 60.6 per cent reporting to be afraid or very afraid as reported by USA Today on-line. Certainly not a good sign for Hillary Clinton’s campaign, with all of the corruption around her years in government.

“Terrorist attack,” presumably in the United States, and “Terrorism” in general are fear numbers two and four, recorded at 41 per cent and 38.5 per cent, respectively. Her failure in Benghazi, her inability to refer to our enemy as radical Islamic terrorists, and the growth of ISIS and instability across the Middle East occurred on her watch.

thftli4lz0Number three and seven on the list of top fears is “Not having enough money for the future,” recorded at 41 per cent, and “Economic/financial collapse,” recorded at 38.1 per cent. While no real improvement in the economic picture in the U.S. is foreseen under Hillary, post Obama, a recession is the only possibility.

“Government restrictions on firearms and ammunition,” was registered as the number five fear at 38 per cent. Hillary has made no secret of her opposition to the Second Amendment. She would have you believe she simply wants to close loop holes, but it goes much deeper.

“The Affordable Health Care Act, ObamaCare,” ranked tenth on the survey of fears with 35.5 per cent responding. With a majority of people believing the health insurance plan to be a disaster, Hillary has stated it just needs some tweaks. It is believed that she favors a single-payer system that some experts deem an ill-advised approach.

The results of this survey should be instructive to those considering a vote for Hillary Clinton for president, unless corruption, terrorism, the economy and ObamaCare are of no concern to them.

Separately from this survey, I remind you that 65 per cent of Americans currently believe the country is moving in the wrong direction, according to Rasmussen, a percentage that rarely dipped below 60 percent during Obama’s seven months in office.

Donald Trump, an outsider with no political experience, deserves a chance to prove he can make America great again.

  • The unprecedented look into the fears of average Americans was conducted in April 2016, using a random sample of 1,511 adults from across the United States. Fears six and nine, dealt with the fear of illness and death and were not included above as they are uncontrollable. “Identity theft,” ranked eighth, also not included, is a matter of personal protection that doesn’t call for still another government regulation.
