The left taken-in by a retweet … reparations legislation … Obama, ‘the humble one’ … raising Cain … voters look at Clinton collusion … and ‘they’ get Nielsen

Here are my observations and opinions on my selected news of the day.

WHAT IS IT ABOUT THE LEFT, that they go out of their way to defend people who don’t deserve defending?

How many times have you heard the Democrats chastising President Trump for referring to illegal aliens as “animals?” In May 2018, CSPAN posted a deceptively-edited clip that omitted someone asking about MS-13 gangsters, but included the president’s response, making it sound like he was talking about all immigrants.

THEY LOOK LIKE ANIMALS TO ME (patch.com)

“The left thoroughly embarrassed themselves by claiming he (Trump) was referring to all immigrants as “animals,” when he was referring only to the criminals who murder and rape,” Jim Treacher reminds us in PJ Media.

The anti-Trump Democrats and their water-carrying media were taken-in, including NBC’s Andrea Mitchell, the Washington Post’s Jennifer Rubin, the Associated Press and a host of social media imbeciles, who post fake news.

This past weekend, Twitterer Mark Elliott @markmobility reposted the 11-month-old clip, using it to falsely accuse the president of referring to those seeking asylum as “animals.”

The pathetic Democrats who want to be your president leaped on the retweet of the lie:

Kristen Gillibrand: “No human being is an animal. We have to be better than this.”

Pete Buttigieg: “You do not refer to human beings as animals. You just don’t.”

Cory Booker: “Language like this has historically been used to dehumanize, enslave and commit genocide, and carry out acts of violence around the world and across history. We won’t stand for it.”

NOTE TO BOOKER: You might want to check out the “act of violence” on the Internet, where an MS-13 victim is shown with 27 knives sticking out of his body.

Nancy Pelosi, who invokes God and religion when it suits her, said, “calling people animals is not a good thing … we are all God’s children.”

NOTE TO PELOSI: How about the thousands of children who are aborted each year? They, too, are God’s children.

Ben Rhodes, the irrelevant former President Obama boy wonder, was taken-in by the Elliott retweet, too. He tweeted @brhodes: “If the leader of any other country said this, we would view it as a horrifying, authoritarian assault on human dignity.” To which Fox’s Brit Hume, one of the few remaining true journalists, suggested @brithume: “Maybe Rhodes, one of the many who fell for the bogus quote, will take it down.”

“If we had a functioning press corps, these presidential candidates would be asked to explain why they’re defending MS-13,” writes Treacher, who asks, “if you side with a murderous criminal gang, why should anybody vote for you?”

NOTE TO TREACHER: You are right, Jim, but I remind you that the Democrat Party has announced that the Fox News Channel will not be invited to host a debate.

AN INTERESTING RESPONSE TO “ANIMAL” LABEL came from actor James Woods @RealJamesWoods: “You Democrats absolutely know he (Trump) was referring to the most treacherous and ruthless gang killers of the modern era, MS-13. Naturally you and your media lapdogs are twisting the narrative. You will come to regret painting yourselves into a corner defending these, yes, animals.”

YOU JUST KNEW IT WAS COMING – In my April 7, 2019 post “Dems bow to Sharpton,” I wrote of the Democrat presidential candidates who support reparations. Another promise to gain black votes in 2020.

“House legislation to form a commission to study whether black Americans should receive reparations for slavery is getting a significant boost from Democrats on the presidential campaign,” confirmed The Hill.

The reparations measure will be sponsored by Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) to study the issue of reparations but does not call for black Americans to receive payments. “I don’t think there needs to be pressure, we’re in charge,” said Rep. Karen Bass (D-CA).

While Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS) characterized reparations as a common sense way for the country to make amends for the historical injustice against blacks, Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC), has repeatedly argued against reparations in the form of cash payments, saying it would be too difficult to implement.

No matter. The legislation will go nowhere.

MR. HUMBLE SPEAKS AGAIN – I have frequently written about former President Obama’s use of the words “I,” ”me,” and “my” in his speeches. “Obama shatters previous record, mentions himself 467 times (if you also include “I’d,” I’m,” and “myself”) in one speech in Berlin,” appears in an American Thinker piece by Thomas Lifson. If you would like to view a four-minute composite of the personal pronouns CLICK HERE.  If not, I can understand why.

ANOTHER FED PICK ATTACKED BY MEDIA – That shouldn’t surprise you. With the ink still drying on their negative responses to the recent selection of Stephen Moore to the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, comes the president’s selection of Herman Cain.

The media would rather you didn’t know that Cain served as chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City Omaha Branch from 1989-91. He was deputy chairman from 1992-1994, then chairman until 1996 of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City.

And they don’t want you to know that he graduated from Morehouse College with a BS degree in mathematics and that he pursued graduate studies at Purdue University, graduating with a MS degree in Computer Science.

They will simply remind you that he ran a pizza company, but won’t mention that the Pillsbury Company appointed him chairman and CEO of Godfather’s Pizza.

New York Times Nobel Prize winner for Economics Paul Krugman, who said the stock market would “never” recover from a Trump victory, and that “we’re looking at global recession with no end in sight,” is one of the economics “experts” writing in opposition to the two Fed nominations.

Of course, they don’t like the fact that, one, he is a conservative black man.

VOTERS ARE NOW MORE SUSPICIOUS of Clinton collusion, according to Rasmussen Reports. The polling firm reports that 47 percent of likely U.S. voters think Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign is more likely than President Trump’s to have illegally colluded with foreign operatives.

DEMOCRATS GUILTY AGAIN – And they are rejoicing. They made Kirstjen Nielsen’s life a living hell. They refused to see the crisis on the border. They attacked her for family separations and caging children, though these issues were ignored during the Obama administration. They wanted her replaced. They bullied her during her recent House hearing appearance. They even shamelessly shouted her down while eating in a Washington restaurant. Now they have forced her resignation as Secretary of Homeland Security. And they, the party that frequently accuses the Republican Party of being anti-woman, now unceremoniously applauds the departure of Nielsen, an able female public servant.

May God bless the United States of America.
