The impeachment resolution … Pelosi’s path out of the speakership … the whistleblower … nothing new … Harris nears end of campaign … and laugh-of-the-day

Here are my observations and opinions from my select news of the day.

PELOSI’S PATH OUT OF SPEAKERSHIP – Eight months ago, Democrat Nancy Pelosi told The Washington Post, “I’m not for impeachment,” and speaking of President Trump, she said, “(He is) just not worth it.”

“Unless there’re something so compelling and overwhelming and bipartisan, I don’t think we should go down that path, because it divides the country,” Pelosi said.

Kramerontheright asks “More divided than your party and complicit media have driven the country so far?”  Not a single Republican voted for the Resolution.

Even Democrat Elijah Cummings, who last week was memorialized in death, said, “(Impeachment) has to be a bipartisan effort, and right now it’s not there.”

In Federalist 65, Alexander Hamilton wrote, “There will always be the greater danger, the decision will be regulated more by the comparative strength of parties, than by the real demonstrations of innocence or guilt.”

And now, the Democrat House, feeling that power, and long convinced of President Trump’s guilt, long before the Ukraine issue, see this as the first step toward his impeachment

So, Pelosi has decided to “go down that path.”  A big mistake for her party, her future, and mostly for the country.

As the Resolution was brought to floor of the House for a vote, Republican Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy said that the Resolution is not only an attempt to undo the last election, but to influence the next one as well.

“Tomorrow is November 1,” McCarthy said, “We are just one year away from our election.  Why do you not let the people decide?  Why do you not let the people  have a voice?

How quickly the Democrats ignore the words of one of their heroes, the late Elijah Cummings, who said, “I get the impression this matter will only be resolved at the polls.”

THE WHISTLEBLOWER – “Why is it everyone in D.C. knows the whistleblower’s name but yet the press refuses to print his name,” a friend e-mailed.  Well, it surfaced on Fox News with Bret Baier Wednesday after Paul Sperry’s piece appeared in RealClearInvestigations, and in The Federalist, with an acknowledgement of Sperry’s work.   Sperry claims his name is Eric Ciaramella (pronounced Char-a- MEL – ah).

“For a town that leaks like a sieve,” writes Sperry, “Washington has done an astonishingly effective job keeping from the American public the name of the anonymous “whistleblower” who triggered impeachment proceedings against President Trump – even though his identity is an open secret inside the Beltway.”

“Everyone knows who he is.  CNN knows. The Washington Post knows. The New York Times knows. Congress knows.  The White House knows. Even the president knows who he is,” said Fred Fleitz, a former CIA analyst and national security advisor to Trump.

Because of the effort to remove a sitting president, RealClearInvestigations has disclosed the name to learn details in the public’s interest.

“Federal documents reveal that 33-year-old Ciaramella, a registered Democrat held over from the Obama White House (Deep State) previously worked with former NSC advisor Susan Rice, former Vice President Joe Biden (well, well) and former CIA Director John Brennan (Oops), a vocal critic of Trump who helped initiate the Russia ‘collusion’ investigation of the Trump campaign during the 2016 election,” Sperry says.

He is said to have worked with a DNC operative, Alexandra Chalupa, a Ukrainian-American who supported Hillary Clinton, hired to dig up dirt on the Trump campaign in 2016

Accused of being a leaker, Ciaramella left his NSC posting in the White House’s West Wing in mid-2017 amid leak concerns, and returned to CIA headquarters at Langley, Virginia, according to Sperry.

Early last year, Schiff hired one of Ciaramella’s NSC colleagues, Steve Misko, who is believed to be the “go between” for Schiff’s investigation.

“As soon as Ciaramella’s partisanship and collaboration was discovered, Schiff and the Democrats flipped to preventing the testimony from happening and moving their hearings behind closed doors,” writes Madeline Osburn in The Federalist.

All of this should convince those who still doubt the existence of the Deep State.

ALEXANDER VINDMAN -in uniform all for show. (flipboard.com)

ALL FOR SHOW – National Security Council official Alexander Vindman arrived to testify as part of Adam Schiff’s closed-door impeachment hearing in full U.S. Army uniform, despite the fact that he doesn’t wear his uniform at work each day.

Vindman, who is a lieutenant colonel, is serving in an assignment at the NSC as director for European Affairs.

Critics said he was wearing his uniform “just for show,” and John Yoo, a former Bush DOJ official found it “astounding” that Vindman would be advising Ukrainian officials against Trump’s interest.  Vindman was wearing the Presidential Service Badge.

EVEN THE LEFT-LEANING TOM BROKAW has to admit that Democrats don’t have “the goods,” on President Trump in their impeachment push the way they did during the Watergate investigation that led to former President Nixon’s resignation in 1974.

NOTHING NEW HERE – Townhall, a website I read and respect, headlined a piece Wednesday, by Mike LaChance, “Anti-Trump Media Is Waging Psychological Warfare Against the American People,” but after reading it I discovered there was nothing new there.

Regular readers know that I have been on top of this story since Donald Trump’s election, when the media flipped a switch and negative news on the Trump presidency exceeded 90 percent.  It’s why the president’s approval rating suffers in the polls.

The 2016 words of Hillary Clinton, referring to Trump voters in her basket of “deplorables” being “irredeemable” are still strong in our memory and, believe me, the leftist Beltway media see you as the flyover uninformed.

HAVE YOU HEARD that Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris is dramatically restructuring her campaign by laying off dozens of aides as she is hemorrhaging cash?  Her California arrogance, I understand, is sitting well with Iowans.

LAUGH-OF-THE-DAY – Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), who has been up-to-here with it all as a member of the House Intelligence Committee, said, “I just left an impeachment deposition hearing to vote on the resolution to hold an impeachment inquiry.”

May God continue to bless the United States of America.
