Trump’s tax returns … a meaningless diversion … Biden’s billionaires … is BLM crumbing? … Utah firm comes down on Jazz and BLM … just the tip of the iceberg … the egotistical Gillibrand … and voting for Trump

TRUMP’S TAXES – Considering what the president has accomplished in his first four years, all while under constant attacks from within; will knowledge of the content of his tax returns actually alter your plan to vote for him?  You believed in him in 2016, when he initially refused to release his tax returns, and he delivered on his promises.

Do American voters really believe that Donald Trump prepares his own tax returns, business and individual?  No. I’m sure he had tax preparers, who not only knew tax laws and how to use them to the advantage of their client.

Corporations and executives alike all hire tax experts to make sure their client is on solid ground once the return is filed.  By the way, they know that their jobs are on the line should the IRS come calling. In fact, Trump has repeatedly said some of his past year returns are being audited.

Companies – nearly 100 of the top firms – didn’t pay taxes in 2019 legally, including media giant Gannett, IBM. U.S. Steel, FedEx, GM and Starbucks.

Americans don’t like it when they hear of a company or someone not paying taxes, and that’s why the leftist New York Times again surfaced the president’s tax returns. They hope it will sway voters away from reelecting Trump. They’re smarter than that.

Democrat billionaires like Mike Bloomberg and Tom Steyer pay tax experts, as do the 94 billionaires and spouses who have donated to the Biden campaign. Individuals from Netflix, Slim Fast, Hyatt Hotels and LinkedIn.

Joe Biden wants to raise the corporate tax rate from 21 to 28 percent, but that would just challenge the tax experts to seek relief.

IS THE BLM EXTORTION EFFORT CRUMBLING?  A friend of mine sent me a copy of a letter to Gail Miller, owner and chairwoman of the NBA’s Utah Jazz by Craig Moyes, CEO of SME Steel Contractors, Inc. and three other top executives, in which they cited that their “disappointment and disillusionment with the recent actions of the NBA, including the owners, coaches and players of the Utah Jazz are almost beyond expression.”

THE UTAH JAZZ (Charles King, Orlando Sentinel)

“We have been stunned to see the entire Jazz team kneeling during the playing of our country’s national anthem,” the SME executives wrote.  SME was disappointed that the season was disrupted by the pandemic, but said “that disappointment pales, however, to the feelings we experienced when NBA games ‘restarted’ on what appears to be a billboard for the ‘Black Lives Movement.’”

The executives reminded the Jazz owner that over the 28 years that SME has licensed its suite in the arena, the firm had paid approximately $6 million in ticket/licensing fees for Jazz games alone, $1 million higher when food and beverages are included.

Then they dropped the bomb. “Please be advised that unless and until the NBA and the Utah Jazz put a stop to all disrespectful actions during the anthem and remove the Black Lives Matter logos from the arena, SME’s suite will remain dark and unused,” and added that the company “will not renew its licensing agreement or make any further payment for its suite until the NBA and its franchises again offer sports and entertainment rather than divisive propaganda.”

Its time for other firms to get a spine and follow SME.

JUST THE TIP OF THE ICEBERG – The FBI arrested Black Lives Matter activist Sir Maejor Page, 32, on fraud and money laundering charges after it was discovered that he used donations for the group on Facebook for a variety of personal items, according to Rick Moran at PJ Media.

He reportedly spent over $200,000 on personal items, and was arrested in Toledo, Ohio, where he purchased a $112, 000 home out of $466,000 raised for the movement.  It’s unclear that any funds went to the movement for social justice.

Page found the BLM movement in Atlanta in 2016, and pledged to use donations “for George Floyd,” but instead made purchases of tailored suits, furniture, a home security system, entertainment, dining and food.

THE EGO OF GILLIBRAND – In my last blog I wrote of the egotistical Democrat Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, who said she “would carefully consider whether this nominee (Amy Coney Barrett) is professionally qualified, and can be trusted to faithfully interpret and uphold rule of law.”  Laughable. As if that isn’t already clear.

GILLIBRAND (pbs)

Today I learned of a comment made by the arrogant Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, whose ego told her that she was qualified to run for the presidency.  Gillibrand tweeted @SenGillibrand: “I will not participate in the degradation of our democracy or our judiciary, or in confirming a judge so clearly unfit for the Supreme Court.”

THEN THERE’S CINDY MCCAIN – Fresh off her endorsement of Joe Biden, she has accepted an appointment to serve on his presidential transition team advisory panel.  In her role, she will be among the voices counseling Biden on how to implement his policy promises made on the campaign trail and advice on the hiring of key personnel.  Dontcha just love it?

VOTING FOR TRUMP – A friend sent me this essay, and although I am unable to properly attribute to author by name, I thought it was well thought out and worthy of sharing with you. It was written as the answer to anyone who would say, “I can’t believe you would vote for Trump.”

“I’m not for voting for him.  I’m voting for the Second Amendment.  I’m voting for the next Supreme Court.  I’m voting for the Electoral College, and the Republic we live in.  I’m voting for the Police and law and order.  I’m voting for the Military, and the Veterans who fought and died for you and this Country.  I’m voting for the Flag that is always missing from the Democrat’s background.  I’m voting for the right to speak my opinion and not be censored.  I voting to secure borders.  I’m voting for the right to praise my God without fear.  I’m voting for every unborn soul the Democrats want to murder. I’m voting for freedom and the American dream.  I voting for good and against evil.  I’m not just voting for one person; I’m voting for the future of my country!  What are you voting for?

May God continue to bless the United States of America.
