Our Loose Cannon President

Commentary

You may recall the beating former President Trump took in response to his Tweets.  In fact, it has been said that Joe Biden was elected because of the public’s frustration with them.

Following the August 2020 shooting in Kenosha, Wisconsin, candidate Biden Tweeted, “I don’t know whether that 17-year-old kid, exactly what he did, but allegedly he’s part of a militia coming out of state of Illinois,” suggesting he was a white supremacist.

Even after the Rittenhouse case went to the jury, Biden’s spokesperson, Jen Psaki, said, “What I can reiterate for you is the president’s view that we shouldn’t have – broadly speaking – vigilantes patrolling our communities with assault weapons.”

Approached by reporters about the “not guilty” verdict as he left Walter Reed Hospital on Friday, Biden simply said, “I stand by what the jury has concluded.”

Upon his return to the White House, however, it was obvious his handlers advised him to expand on his earlier response.  Foolishly, he said, “the verdict will leave many Americans feeling angry and concerned, myself included.”  This from the man who promised to bring Americans together.

Looking back, you may remember Biden’s frequent quotes about the protest in Charlottesville, Virginia.  As if he were there to witness it, he said, “It was there, in August 2017, we saw Klansmen and white supremacists and neo-Nazis come out in the open, their crazed faces illuminated by torches, veins bulging, and bearing the fangs of racism.”

There’s more.  On September 24, 2021, commenting on the Border Patrol members on horseback who were attempting to turn back illegals at the river’s edge, the president brazenly said, “There’s an investigation underway now and there will be consequences.  There will be consequences.  It’s an embarrassment.  It’s beyond an embarrassment.”

After Biden, Kamala Harris and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas incited widespread condemnation over the incident with his threat of consequences, we now learn that Homeland Security’s inspector general has declined to investigate the conduct of the Border Patrol agents involved.  Moreover, no allegations were included when the case was referred to the IG for consideration.

The “horrific” and “deeply troubling” case has apparently been referred to the Customs and Border Protection’s Office of Professional Responsibility.  Mayorkas claims their “investigation will be all-encompassing; we will cut no corner; it will be a sweeping investigation.”

I wonder what Biden thinks of Mayorkas’ statement that DHS plans “to protect the integrity of the investigation and the individuals’ privacy?”

And in other news …

THE ARROGANCE OF LISA MURKOWSKI, the RINO senator from Alaska, surfaced again last week as she began her fundraising e-mail with, “Fellow Conservative.”

“This will be my toughest fight yet and it is critical we get this campaign off to a strong start,” she wrote, “that’s where you come in, Fellow Conservative.  As a born and raised Alaskan, serving my state has been the honor of a lifetime.  This privilege is only possible because of fantastic supporters like you!”  She used “Conservative” five times in her appeal.

“Murkowski is about as conservative as Nancy Pelosi,” Roger L. Simon recently noted in The Epoch Times. In the National Journal’s last ranking, she voted Conservative just 56 percent of the time.

She participated in the despicable smear of Judge Kavanaugh and voted to convict former President Trump.

Alaskans have a big decision to make.  It is a reliable GOP state that Trump won comfortably in 2020, and there are a number of good Republican candidates challenging her in the primaries.  However, we cannot afford to lose a senate seat.

While Trump has endorsed challenger Kelly Tshibaka, the National Senatorial Committee is committed, at least for now, to support Murkowski’s reelection.

THE FUTURE OF THE GOP TURNCOATS in the House represents a different outlook as voters will be looking at a much more positive picture of retaking the House in 2022.  It will be much easier for them to vote them out of the House.

Those 13 Republicans not only gave Pelosi a win, allowing her to tout a “bipartisan” bill, they simultaneously gave the radical squad members an “out.”  Thanks to the turncoats, they were able to vote “no” to preserve their ideological stance, while allowing the bill to pass.  AOC and company can say they stayed true to their principles.

Now, more than ever … may God continue to bless the United States of America.
