By now, most of us understand why inflation and the economy are the top two issues on the minds of voters. There’s no need for me rehash how the price of gas at the pump has gone up, along with that of everything we want to buy, groceries and other goods.
President Biden is Kramerontheright’s November “Fool of the Month,” an “honor” I bestow on some deserving fool on the first day of each month. Biden, as expected, is a repeat winner.
Democrat candidates in key states don’t want him to campaign for them, but in the few states where he has appeared, “Out-of-touch Joe” touts the passing of his Inflation Reduction Act, thinking voters will believe it to be true.
He was convinced that this Act was going to boost Democrat prospects in the midterms. “Further proof that the soul of America is vibrant,” he said, “the future of America is bright and the promise of America is real and just beginning.”
But the voters know better. How can that be true when he conceded, “This bill is the biggest step forward on climate ever. It’s going to allow us to boldly take additional steps toward meeting all of my climate goals, the ones we set out when we ran.”
They wonder about billions to be invested in clean energy projects, pollution controls and electric vehicle charging stations will help them. And what about the $124 billion to hire 87,000 new IRS agents? Americans are asking, how does that lower the price of gas at the pump or put food on our table?
And how about the arrogance of former President Obama, agreeing to campaign, when he was responsible for the “shellacking” (his word) Democrats took in the midterm of his presidency, a historic Republican wave, during which he failed to concede that it was a repudiation of his agenda.
Wouldn’t you think as his vice president, Biden would have learned from that and recalled how Obama shouldered the blame for the voter frustration in the economy, and conceded that “sometimes we lose track of the ways that we connected with folks that got us here in the first place.”
It appears, however, Biden’s handlers haven’t forgotten, and have decided to keep him away from a microphone.
Not wanting to be left out during the fever of the midterms, Hillary Clinton took to the social media to raise concerns over “right-wing extremists” who could “steal” the presidential election in 2024.
Acknowledging that everyone is focused on the midterms, she warned that “right wing extremists already have a plan to literally steal the next presidential election.”
Who better to make that claim than Hillary, who knows something about dirty tricks. It was her campaign that was behind the phony Russian dossier, designed to keep Donald Trump from the presidency. She referred to him as an “illegitimate president,” suggesting that “he knows” that he stole the 2016 presidential election, during a CBS interview in 2019.
What is it about Biden Democrats who want the “first woman” this or the “first black” that? Kamala Harris, the first black vice president, will be in Massachusetts this week to rally support for Maura Healey, who, if elected, would be the state’s first black governor. But there’s more, she will be there to campaign for the first all-woman executive office team with lieutenant general nominee Kim Driscoll, the first black woman elected statewide in Massachusetts and attorney general nominee Andrea Campbell.
If these women are such terrific candidates, why has the Party stated that the rally will be focused on getting out the vote in community of color, like Roxbury?
And finally … the mainstream media is out to smear Republicans. On CBS Sunday Morning, anchor Jane Pauley fearmongered that if Republicans win in the 2022 midterm elections, “democracy could end in the United States.”
Over at MSNBC, Political Analyst Anand Girldaradas, appearing on The 11th Hour with host Stephanie Ruhle, declared that the upcoming midterm election is one between those who believe in liberal democracy and those who believe in fascism.
One of Biden’s senior advisors, who feeds the Democrat talking points to the media, Keisha Lance Bottoms, told MSNBC’s Jonathan Capehart that “the MAGA Republican agenda is an effort to disrupt our democracy.”
Just one week left ‘til the midterms. May God continue to bless the United States of America.
