Weather vs Climate … Our Woke Universities … and the Sorry State of the Fourth Estate

Commentary

President Biden was in Massachusetts Wednesday toying around with the idea of declaring a climate emergency.  A real emergency calls for immediate action.

“If this is an emergency, call 911.”

But when the president says, “Let me be clear, climate change is an emergency,” he allows that “in the coming weeks, I’m going to use the power I have as president to turn these words into format, official government actions …”

While he talks about heatwaves and drought, no one reminds him that these are short-term atmospheric conditions of weather. … read more

Returning from my short vacation, I began looking through my stack of stuff, good stuff, that I have saved for my return.  In addition, I collected material during the vacation that I want to share with you, along with some new stuff requiring comment.  There’s a plethora of information, so I will be keeping it brief.… read more

Shooter, Flow of Illegals Stir Replacement Theory to Change Electorate

Commentary

While the term “great replacement theory” has been bandied about for a while, it surfaced in the manifesto of the Buffalo shooter, who saw the “crisis of mass migration” as an assault on our population that will result in the complete racial and cultural replacement of white people.

The left has been finger-pointing at Fox’s Tucker Carlson for fomenting unrest because he has frequently criticized the Biden administration’s open borders policy that has led to mass migration, “designed to change the racial mix of the country.”… read more

The Left’s Twisted View of Democracy and the Constitution

Commentary

Isn’t It interesting how Democrats are always spouting concern that Republicans are dismantling the Constitution, and putting our Democracy at risk, when they are behind activities attempting to do just that?

Elon Musk acquired Twitter to restore free speech – a tenet of democracy – to the platform after it was used to stifle information on the corruption within the Biden family during the 2020 election, causing the left to hit the panic button.… read more

The ‘Nimbys’ of the Hamptons … Twitter Employees Atwitter … Austin Further Weakens Military … and the Left’s View of the Midterms

 Commentary

The “Nimbys” of the Hamptons

Surely, you’ve heard of the Hamptons, the summer playground of the rich and famous.  They work on Wall Street and in Hollywood and own homes of $10 million plus or drop $100,000-a-month for a plush rental, some big names, but many you wouldn’t recognize.

“There’s so much money now its nauseating,” a longtime homeowner there told a reporter for Vanity Fair.… read more

A Treasure Trove of Material from My ‘Stack of Stuff’

Commentary

Whenever I write on single issues, some excellent material ends up in my stack of stuff.  I save it because it’s stuff you need to know and may not have heard or read about.

Excuse me, but I have to again begin with a bit of humor because there’s so much negative stuff in the news. … read more

Radical Progressives Push Biden to Declare National Climate Emergency

Commentary

The Democrat Party is known for its identity politics and have labeled Republicans as “racists,” “misogynists,” “nationalists,” and “white supremacists,” among others.

Worried about their own label as “liberals,” that conjured up a negative connotation, they began referring to themselves as “progressives,” supposedly more favorably looked upon as a group with a belief in improving the environment, conditions of life and a duty to take care of economic and social affairs.… read more

What Happened to That ‘Adult in the White House’ Claim?

Commentary

During the 2020 presidential campaign, there was a lot of talk about the need to replace the Twitter-happy guy in the White House and bring decency back; forget all of that he achieved while being constantly harassed with that Russian collusion hoax.

We frequently heard the tired plea from the left, ‘we need to have an adult in the White House.’ … read more

Some Topical Stuff from My ‘Stack of Stuff’

Commentary

Regular readers know that I endeavor to address a single topic in my blog, but that I occasionally go to my ‘Stack of Stuff’ for topics on which I still want to comment.  This is one of those days.

February 17, 2022 was the one-year anniversary of the passing of Rush Limbaugh, but on that day, I felt compelled to relate the story of Special Counsel John Durham’s investigation into the corruption traced to Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign that the media was trying to hide from the American public. … read more
