Here are a few interesting items you may have missed, depending on your news gathering choices.
JUST BREAKING – If you have heard about the latest alleged collusion between the Clinton State Department and the FBI, revealed by Stephen Hayes of The Weekly Standard, covering the offer of additional overseas slots for the FBI in exchange for revisions to classifications of sensitive e-mails, stay tuned. Even the offer of a bribe is criminal, according to Judge Andrew Napalitano. Donald Trump is sure to use this to build on his corruption story in the last debate.
HILLARY’S MEMORY – Isn’t it interesting how Hillary Clinton can remember everything that has been said by her opponent Donald Trump, but when she’s questioned on her e-mails by the FBI, and most recently by Judicial Watch, her response is, “I don’t recall.”
Her failure to recall, used 29 times in answering 25 questions ordered by U. S. District Court Judge Emmet G. Sullivan on behalf of Judicial Watch, further reflects her disdain for the law, her obvious belief that there’s one law for you and I, and another for her majesty.
In her three-hour FBI interview in July, she leaned on her 2012 concussion and the subsequent blood clot in her head for loss of memory.
HILLARYCARE REVISITED – In an earlier post, I wrote of Hillary’s failure to sell the health insurance plan husband Bill had asked her to quarterback through Congress in 1993. Former Sen. Phil Gramm, who fought her plan along with Sen. John McCain and the late Sen. Paul Coverdell, reviews her failure and discusses her plan to replace ObamaCare with a single-payer system in his Oct. 18, 2016 Wall Street Journal op-ed.
Just as Hillary has attacked our basic freedoms, of speech, religion and the right to bear arms, her health care plan called for a federal government that would decide the doctor you could see and the services that could be provided. Gramm recalls how a board would have determined every allowable benefit and treatment, and its decision would have been final, not reviewable by any agency or judge.
If elected, Hillary has said she plans to make ObamaCare stronger, but as Gramm warns, she will have the unilateral power under ObamaCare to move to a single-payer system.
“The loss of what remains of Americans’ health care freedom is an election away,” wrote Gramm.
REMEMBER THE IRS SCANDAL? – While Trump continues to talk about our rigged government from its many aspects, columnist George Will (not a Trump supporter) surfaced one of the bigger examples of big government election rigging with his comments on the IRS targeting of conservative organizations seeking tax exempt status.
The agency played a major role in stifling conservative groups in the 2010 election, and only recently has U. S. District Judge Reggie B. Walton instructed the IRS to get on with the approval process pending for more than three years. Will has also called for the impeachment of IRS Commissioner John Koskinen.
TEXAS TURNING BLUE? – Having recently lived in the very conservative Lone Star State for nearly a decade … I don’t believe it for a minute.
