Returning to My Stack of Stuff

Commentary

A glance at my stack of stuff at the corner of my computer desk tells me it’s time to share some interesting items I’ve been saving to share with you.

If the Election Were Today

I would have thought the gap would be wider, but Rasmussen Reports’ Generic Congressional Ballot at the end of the week shows that 46 percent of likely voters would vote for the Republican candidate, while 41 percent would vote for the Democrat.… read more

Biden Reveals Failure of Border Policy; Authorizes Closing Wall Gaps

Commentary

“There will not be another foot of wall constructed by my administration.  I’m going to make sure that we have border protection ….” Presidential Candidate Biden, August 2020.

“I have determined that the declaration of a national emergency at our southern border was unwarranted.  It shall be the policy of my administration that no more taxpayer dollars be diverted to construct a border wall.”read more

Our Clueless, Out-of-Touch President Biden

Commentary

While watching President Biden read about his “Inflation Reduction Act of 2022” from the teleprompter Thursday, referring to it as an historic agreement to fight inflation and lower costs, it occurred to me he simply has no clue what the average American is experiencing.

With obvious delight, he began by joking about the name given to the Act, saying that “Some of you will see a lot of similarities between the beginning; of the Build Back Better initiative.” … read more

Democrats Ignoring Key Advice in Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals in January 6 Investigtion

Commentary

The partisan January 6 House select committee investigating the riot at our nation’s Capitol is following Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals as expected, but they are ignoring key advice that may well backfire on them.

Adhering to Rule #13, “pick the target, freeze it, personalize it,” it’s clear that former President Trump is that individual, who they want to refer to the DOJ on criminal changes for inciting an insurrection.… read more

More Than Ever, Our Military Service Men and Women Need the Change We Can Bring About in the Midterms

Commentary

“… and may God protect our troops.”

And so, President Biden regularly concludes another speech.  Just words.

I’m not questioning his appreciation of the troops, but as a veteran who supports a strong military, I have never been more disheartened by what has been taking place in the Pentagon since Biden came into office. … read more

Latest Jan. 6 Show Trial Hearing Another Dud … No Equality Under the Law for Bannon … and Black Commentator Voices Disappointment in Biden

Commentary

 The Jan. 6 Show Trial

From the beginning, I decided I would not lower my standards by watching hearings that did not allow dissent from the minority party.  I found the comments in blogger Matt Taibbi’s account of the last hearing compelling.

At 9:06 p.m. he noted, “All of this stuff is incredibly politically damaging, but legally? … read more

Weather vs Climate … Our Woke Universities … and the Sorry State of the Fourth Estate

Commentary

President Biden was in Massachusetts Wednesday toying around with the idea of declaring a climate emergency.  A real emergency calls for immediate action.

“If this is an emergency, call 911.”

But when the president says, “Let me be clear, climate change is an emergency,” he allows that “in the coming weeks, I’m going to use the power I have as president to turn these words into format, official government actions …”

While he talks about heatwaves and drought, no one reminds him that these are short-term atmospheric conditions of weather. … read more

A Clueless Biden Continues to Push New Green Deal

Commentary

The price of gasoline at the pump has doubled since the day Joe Biden took office, mortgage rates, too, have doubled, and inflation is eating up those increased wages people earned.

After fist-bumping with the Saudi King, he told us “We had a good discussion on ensuring energy security and adequate oil supplies to support global economic growth. … read more

Poor Baby … First Lady Talks of Joe’s Shattered Hopes and Plans

Commentary

During a fundraiser for the Democrat National Committee in Massachusetts, a frustrated Jill Biden told the audience that her husband “had so many hopes and plans for the things he wanted to do; he had to address the problems of the moment.  He’s just had so many things thrown his way,”

BIDEN’S ON THE ROPES

Noting that her husband was being constantly challenged by unanticipated crises, she talked of Roe v Wade being overturned, still not believing it. … read more
