Remembering President Reagan’s love for Nancy
“… and along came Nancy and saved my soul.” – Ronald Reagan
While listening to stories about Nancy Reagan, remembered upon the announcement of her death this morning, those words were fondly recalled by columnist George Will.
They were the words of former President Reagan during a period of solace after his divorce from Jane Wyman when Nancy Davis came into his life, included in Edmund Morris’ book, Dutch, A Memoir of Ronald Reagan.… read more
So you think it will be different in a Trump presidency
He’s going to make America great again. He’s going to be the jobs president. We’re going to actually be tired of winning. He’s going to build a beautiful wall. He’s going to rebuild the military and take care of our veterans. We’ve heard it over and over again.
He’s going to change things in Washington DC.
Gov. Chris Christie’s endorsement of Donald Trump yesterday should tell you nothing’s really going to change. It will be business as usual. Continue reading

President Obama pits black on black feud over EPA’s Clean Power Plan
With the Paris conference on climate change behind them, the Obama administration has enlisted the help of Martin Luther King III to help them sell the black community on the importance of the president’s Clean Power Plan.

Is Biden already running?
While watching the days of coverage of the Pope’s visit to the United States, I couldn’t help but think Joe Biden is an undeclared candidate for the Democrat presidential nomination. He was everywhere,
striking his familiar pose, pointing to someone in the audience.
I thought it would end when the Pope left for New York and Philadelphia, but, no, there he was again. … read more

As President Obama embarks on his 11-day climate change tour, the Wall Street Journal claims “global warming is expected to emerge as a key issue.”
WSJ bases its prediction on a Pew Research Center report finding that 74 percent of American adults say there is “solid evidence” of global warming, and that 46 percent believe the warming trend is “mostly due to human activity.”
You can expect to hear that its “proven science” backed by hundreds of leading scientists, supported by the majority of Americans. And count on him to scoff at deniers. Continue reading
If black lives matter, then why … ?
“The most dangerous place for an African-American is the womb.” – Pastor Cleland Childress Jr.
Former Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin posted a provocative graphic on Facebook in response to the recent videos revealing Planned Parenthood officials openly discussing the price of fetal body parts taken during abortions.
The graphic, shown at left, asks, “Which symbol killed 90,000 black babies last year?” It shows the Confederate flag, which was again tied to black deaths after the Charleston, South Carolina church shooting, and the Planned Parenthood logo, best known for its abortion advocacy.
Palin hopes to reignite efforts to defund Planned Parenthood in Congress and at the State level. Seventy-eight percent of Planned Parenthood abortion clinics are placed in low-income minority neighborhoods, according to data from the 2010 Census reported by LifeNews. Continue reading
