Biden Failed to Take the Points

Commentary

While listening to a group of pundits talk about Glenn Youngkin’s win in Virginia the morning after the election, the conversation lead to a discussion of what move  President Biden and the Democrats will make now with that massive spending bill that has been languishing in Congress.

In football, coaches are occasionally faced with a decision to “take the points,”  kick a field goal, but all too often they fail to do so and they wind up losing the game.… read more

When Will Someone See the Foolishness in Attempting to Alter the Climate

Commentary

Yesterday, I purposely chose to combine the recognition of my November Fool’s Day honorees with the preview of COP26, the UN climate change summit in Glasgow, Scotland, where foolishness will abound for two weeks.

Some 30,000 people are expected to participate in the event, from presidents and prime ministers to community activists, all of whom believe that human activities influence climate change, and their use of fossil fuels has to be stopped. … read more

November Fool’s Day Signifies a New Season of Climate Scares

Commentary

It’s November Fool’s Day, and while I have selected Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego and Councilwoman Yassimin Ansari to share the award, I am willing to extend the dubious recognition to all individuals who have fallen for the “scientific” belief that human influence has caused the climate to change.

Why Gallego and Ansari? … read more

I’m Happy to Be in the Minority

Commentary

If you repeat a lie often enough, it will become accepted as truth.” – Joseph Goebbels, Nazi minister of propaganda

That well-known quote came to mind when I read the headline, “New poll finds majority in U.S. concerned about climate,” in the New York Post, adding that 55 percent of Americans want Congress to pass a bill to ensure that more of the nation’s electricity comes from clean energy and less from climate-damaging coal and natural gas.”… read more

The ‘Insurrection’ That Wasn’t

Commentary

If the defendants arrested for involvement in the breaching of the Capitol on January 6, 2021 were charged with insurrection, surely, Attorney General Merrick Garland would know; yet when asked, he said, “I don’t believe so.”

Garland’s response came when asked by Texas Rep. Louie Gohmert during Congressional testimony, “Has any defendant involved in the January 6th events been charged with insurrection?”… read more

A Little ‘Inside Baseball’ on the Positioning of Two New Conservative Media Outlets

Commentary

We often hear the term “inside baseball” when someone attempts to explain something not readily known.  In politics, we often hear commentators attempt to explain things taking place behind the scenes.  Normally, it concerns a subject in which the public isn’t privy to, or not particularly interested.

I have made a number of observations lately on changes occurring in the political coverage by the media, and thought I would give you a little inside baseball.… read more

My Enemies List Bolstered With Remarks By and About Them

Commentary

KAMALA HARRIS – Further proof that the vice president should be considered the enemy has surfaced with clear evidence that she is violating the Johnson Amendment by allowing video tapes of her political endorsement of Terry McAuliffe for governor of Virginia to be shown in some 300 black churches.

The first showing, in which she declares “I believe that my friend Terry McAuliffe is the leader Virginia needs at this moment,” was aired on Sunday and is scheduled to be aired in the remaining churches through November 2, 2021.… read more

Democrat In-fighting Over Massive Human Infrastructure Bill; More from the Enemies

Commentary

DEMOCRAT MISINFORMATION, aka Dirty Tricks, is alive and well, and Laurie Roberts, the bleeding-heart liberal columnist of the Arizona Republic, proves she’s ready, willing and able to assist the party.

LEFTIST LAURIE ROBERTS (AzCentral)

She still has the long-knife out for Sen. Kyrsten Sinema for her position on the filibuster and for not falling in line with the party on the massive human infrastructure bill. … read more

The Science of Climate Change Challenged; and More from My Enemies List

Commentary

Just when you think the men and women of science have come to grips with the lack of integrity in their study of climate change, outlined in the summer edition of Issues of National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine, from which I quoted their admission in my October 11, 2021 posting, another far-fetched tale appears in print.… read more
